AKRON — The Board of School Trustees of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation was honored as an outstanding board during the recent regional meeting of the Indiana School Boards Association.
The award was announced Monday night at the monthly meeting of the board at Akron Elementary School.
The designation as an outstanding board resulted from the board’s participation in ISBA’s Certification Awards Program, which recognizes individual board members and school boards for their voluntary participation in ISBA and other school board training.
School Board President Adam Heckaman accepted the award on behalf of Tippecanoe Valley’s board. The Valley Board models continuing education and improvement to its students and to the community it serves by participating in additional school board trainings.
